Background After a degree in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune, and several trainings in hotels, I felt I wasn't really cut out to work in the hotel industry even though I was fascinated by it. I worked in the processed food industry, taught in my own college and enjoyed every bit of it. In November 2003, I got an opportunity to work with Farida Master the then Editor of Pune Times. Needless to say, it changed my life forever. Since then it has been an eventful and interesting journey in and around the food scene in Pune watching and covering everything that deserves to be written about in several publications. In the last 3-4 years, I have been a keen witness to Pune's evolution as a Gourmet city. It's interesting as well as exhausting these days to keep track of new restaurants as they open ever so regularly. But at the end of the day, the whole process is worth it ! |
