Finally Pune has it's own Barbeque Nation, the popular do it yourself restaurant. The outlet threw opened its doors to eager Puneites in the Kalyaninagar area. An amazingly interactive kind of a dining, where you can actually grill the food of your choice, right on your own table, Barbeque Nation in Pune has seating for 220 people and is built on the lines of a European country home.

The restaurant has been done up with lots of wood and the exposed raw brick walls giving one the impression of being in a campfire. Each table has a central sunken pit with a live grill over glowing embers and as soon as one settles down, the skewers start coming to the table. There are ample choices for both vegetarians and lovers of meat. The small bowls of marinades with the barbeque brushes with a range of spice rubs and basting sauces adds to the excitement. Those who do not want to do their own cooking can order grills from the set menu. The barbecues are 90% cooked in the outlets see though kitchen and are given final touches at the live charcoal grill to make the whole process interactive and fun for guests. The best part is that the entire restaurant is aided with the inbuilt reverse exhausts so that one doesn't have to deal with the smoke.

There is a variety of cuisines that Barbeque nation showcases including Pan Asian, Mediterranean, European including Indian of course making it a favorite with most people. After the grill, take a look at the buffet counter where the spread is elaborate right from soups to desserts. Try the lamb biryani and the dum e daal and end a great meal with angoori gulabjaumn and chocolate tulip. Though Barbeque Nation is best for its signature dishes, the barbeques which are an absolute delight what with the mind blowing variations.
